During the 1960s, Olds made a series of Specials and Studios that came with nickel plating, and these counterweights. As you can see from the way they are made, they sit off center from the brace and hang back further than a standard counterweight. I have used them on recordings, supers, studios, and specials.
This is the last one I have from a batch that I had made by a foundry in Spokane. They did a sand casting of the original and this is the result. They did exceptionally fine work. You can see that even the engraving came out in the casting.
This one has been rattling around on a partial for a while, so it has some dings and scuffs and scratches here and there. It is guaranteed to have weight, and to help balance out your Olds trombone.
