Rek-O-Kut TR-12H Record lathe and transcription turntable Rondine L-34 PLEASE READ Rek-O-Kut 1950s

Up for sale is something that I’ve been putting off selling for a long time. This is an original fully functioning REK – O – KUT TR12H record lathe, and transcription turntable model L-34 that has been used since the 50s. I thought I’d have more hours in the day to get a handle on but the studio is too busy for me to dig into figuring out how to cut vinyl. I have done some modifications since I got it. I replaced all of the AC lines because they were cracking, and I also had the rubber wheels underneath both platters re-rubbered so there’s no dead spots. The transcription turntable needs to be rewired for the tone arm. That being said, I did test it as soon as I bought this and it was working. I am second owner of bother of these units For what it’s worth. The original owner modified the cutter head so it is heated and can cut deeper Grooves on the lathe. This came from a working studio the late 50s all the way to mid 60s and I know for a fact that this was still used past that time.. Unit is 57 inches across 23 inches deep and about 51 inches tall to the center console. Obviously this is going to have to be local pick up, but please reach out to me regarding history and any questions that you have. I will try to answer them as best as possible. Like I said I hate to see this go. But it really needs to be used.
