1982 Gibson Firebird II – White/Cream – Gold Hardware & Bigsby – Vintage w/ Case

For sale is my 1982 Gibson Firebird II, finished in a beautiful aged white/cream with gold hardware and a gold Bigsby tremolo/vibrato.

This is a really striking vintage Gibson and, considering that it is more than 40 years old, it is in very good overall condition. The white finish has aged naturally to a warm cream color, and the gold hardware has developed the kind of patina you would expect on a vintage instrument.

The guitar features two humbucking pickups, four control knobs, three-way pickup selector, gold Gibson tuners, gold bridge and hardware, and a gold Bigsby with tremolo arm. It has the classic Firebird pickguard with the red Firebird emblem and the distinctive reverse-style Firebird headstock.

There are some cracks/checking visible in the paint/finish, along with a few small marks and normal signs of use consistent with the guitar’s age. I have included detailed photographs showing these areas. Overall, the guitar has been well preserved and presents beautifully for an instrument from the early 1980s.

The serial number and “MADE IN U.S.A.” markings are stamped into the back of the headstock, although the numbers have become difficult to read through the aged white finish.

It comes with the vintage hard case pictured, with the deep burgundy/magenta plush interior. The case also shows normal wear from age.

This is a beautiful and unusual vintage Firebird with a great combination of aged white/cream finish, gold hardware and gold Bigsby. It would make an excellent player, recording guitar, or addition to a vintage Gibson collection.
