The MOTU 2408 Mk II is a PCI audio interface that connects to Windows or Mac computers via a PCI-424 card. It offers 8 balanced analog inputs and 8 balanced analog outputs on quarter-inch TRS jacks, alongside 24 channels of ADAT optical I/O, 24 channels of TDIF digital I/O, and stereo S/PDIF I/O - supporting up to 24 channels of simultaneous I/O at 44.1 or 48 kHz. Up to three units can be daisy-chained to extend the system to 72 channels. Converters operate at 24-bit resolution, and analog inputs are configurable via internal jumpers for +4 dBu or - 10 dBV operation. Word Clock In/Out is included for synchronization, and the unit can run in stand-alone mode as a digital format converter between ADAT and TDIF without a host computer.
