Sony DVP-S7700 reference-series CD/DVD/Video CD player in the original box, with analog and component cables.

This was Sony’s flagship single-disc player around 1999 — the follow-up to the DVP-S7000 that reviewers treated as a reference machine. Heavy copper-plated chassis, aluminum front panel, motorized drop-down control panel, and Sony’s Dual Discrete optical pickup (separate lasers optimized for CD and DVD). 10-bit video DAC and 96 kHz / 24-bit audio DAC. Optical and coaxial digital outs for Dolby Digital / DTS / PCM. Component, S-Video, and dual composite video outs. Headphone jack with level control.

Condition Powers on, display works, tray opens and closes smoothly. Cosmetic wear is light and consistent with careful use — see photos. Original box is present and intact. Remote is not included. Fully operable from the front panel (power, open/close, play/pause, skip, setup, menu).

This unit is a strong analog CD player and an excellent digital transport if you feed an external DAC or AVR. Collectors and two-channel listeners still seek these for the dual-pickup transport and build quality that later cheap DVD decks never matched.

Notes for buyers Region 1 NTSC. No HDMI / no progressive-scan output (480i analog era). Best picture on a CRT or via a good scaler. Ideal as a dedicated CD transport if video is secondary.
