Gibson Les Paul Special Pro 2011

2011 Gibson Les Paul Special Pro in Vintage Burst. This was a Guitar Center exclusive model and is a somewhat uncommon Gibson from this period, combining the stripped-down construction of a Les Paul Special with a pair of factory humbuckers and coil splitting.

These are a great middle ground between a traditional Les Paul and a Special; flat-top mahogany construction keeps things simple, while the carved rear body contour makes it noticeably more comfortable than a standard Les Paul.

The HB3 in particular is a less commonly seen Gibson bridge pickup and pairs very well with the 490R. With both pickups splittable, there is considerably more tonal range here than you would normally expect from a stripped-down Les Paul.

Condition:

Overall presents well for a 2011 instrument and shows normal signs of use for its age. There are light surface scratches, polishing/play marks and some areas of cloudiness or hazing in the nitro finish, most noticeably on portions of the back and around the body. There are also a few small marks from normal handling and use.

No breaks, cracks or repairs.

The neck and headstock present very nicely, and the guitar plays well. All electronics function as they should.

A really cool and relatively uncommon Gibson USA model that doesn't turn up nearly as often as the standard Les Paul Special or Studio.
