The Deluge from Synthstrom Audible (Wellington, New Zealand) is a standalone, portable music workstation combining a synthesizer, sampler, and deep sequencer in one battery-powered unit — designed for composition, performance, and improvisation without a computer.

Unity updated last year with OLED display and new battery. Very good condition, with only 3 small dings on one side panel (see pics).

Sequencer highlights:

Piano-roll-style sequencing on a 128-pad RGB grid (16×8) with scrolling and zooming; notes entered step-by-step or recorded in real time.

Track count limited only by RAM — over 2 million sequenced notes; resolution up to 6144th notes.

Song/Arranger views to assemble tracks into longer, DAW-like compositions; live launching, muting, and manipulation of tracks.

Euclidean (polyrhythmic) sequencing, per-step probability and iteration/trigger conditions, adjustable swing, pattern shift, note nudge/repeat, and non-standard/polymetric time signatures.

Parameter automation recording with undo/redo; MPE recording and playback.

External control: simultaneous separate sequences and CC on all 16 MIDI channels, plus 2 CV (0–10V) and 4 gate/trigger outputs, making it a central controller for external gear.

Sound engine (context)

Internal synth with up to 64 voices (subtractive, wavetable, FM), a modulation matrix, and FX (delay, reverb, chorus, flanger, phaser, bitcrusher, stutter, sidechain).

Sampler streams directly from SD card (32GB included), up to 90 unaffected sample voices, with multisampling, time-stretching, slicing, and resampling.

Connectivity: 2× ¼" line out, headphone out, mic/line input, built-in mic and speaker, USB MIDI (host for up to 4 devices), and a 6+ hour rechargeable battery.
