MIJ era Stratocaster, '57 reissue. If you've opened this, then you probably already know what this is! This is a true Fujigen Gakki MIJ reissue Stratocaster! Reissues made so well and faithfully that they essentially saved the Fender brand after the disastrous 70's - 80's era garbage from the American factory. Fujigen reserved the rights to "Made in Japan" (MIJ) on the neck at the body end. All other Japanese manufacturers were required to put "Crafted in Japan" (CIJ) labels ever-after to eliminate confusion. This is a great playing, great sounding guitar with faithful reproductions of the '57 features. Neck profile, radius, hand wound pickups, wiring, materials, everything! It currently has an 11 hole single ply pickguard but it could be changed back to an 8 hole. These guitars saved Fender and reignited the desire for classic Strats! This is one of the last years, 1996, as evidenced by the serial number and the "50th Anniversary" sticker. Comes with a flight case. $1000
