Schecter J-4 Electric Bass in Black

The Schecter J-4 delivers a slim, fast neck paired with a lightweight alder body that encourages confident fingerwork without fatigue during extended playing sessions. This 4-string J-style bass excels in rock, metal, and funk contexts, where its snappy attack and defined low-end character cut through dense mixes with authority. The responsive fretboard and balanced ergonomics make both aggressive riffing and intricate passage work feel intuitive and effortless.

Playability & Feel

The thin 'C'-profile maple neck measures .787" at the 1st fret and .866" at the 12th fret, enabling rapid position shifts and fluid technique across the entire fingerboard. A 34" scale with 21 narrow X-Jumbo frets and a 16" fretboard radius provides the industry-standard foundation for four-string bass work, while the Graph Tech XL Ivory Tusq nut (1.496" width) ensures reliable string seating and sustain.

Tone & Electronics

Dual Schecter USA MonsterTone-J™ pickups at bridge and neck positions deliver versatile voicing across the tonal spectrum, controlled via a Volume/Volume/Tone architecture with push-pull coil-tap functionality for expanded sonic options. The Schecter Custom Bass String Thru bridge and metal knurled controls provide solid hardware stability and reliable operation.
