Gibson Woody Guthrie Southern Jumbo from the Gibson Acoustic Custom Shop in Bozeman, Montana (serial number 11191057, built approx. 2011).
This signature model is a faithful recreation of Woody Guthrie's legendary 1945 Southern Jumbo, created in collaboration with his son Arlo Guthrie. Not a mass-produced model, but a limited tribute instrument with corresponding appointments:
- Solid Sitka spruce top, mahogany body (back & sides)
- Mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard
- Mother-of-pearl parallelogram inlays
- Vintage sunburst finish, classic round-shoulder body shape
- Bone nut & saddle
Condition:
Overall very well maintained and ready to play. Under close inspection against backlight, minimal, fine finish scratches are visible around the sides (see detail photo) – normal for an instrument of this age and barely noticeable visually. No dents, cracks, or structural damage.
Included:
Original Gibson hardshell case (see photos), included.
An exceptional instrument both sonically and visually – equally appealing to collectors, folk, and singer-songwriter fans. Viewing and playing in person in Frankfurt am Main possible anytime.
Price: €2,500
Location: Frankfurt am Main, pickup preferred, insured shipping possible by arrangement.
