1981 date codes on back label and many of the chips inside. In good shape, with signs of some battery leakage in the compartment, though the battery snap and the circuit board are untouched. Same pedal as the later Ibanez branded CS9. On this one I added a control that allows the user to dial in some Leslie style swirl. With the added control turned all the way down (counter clockwise) the pedal is in stock CS-9 mode. Turn it up (in the 10 o'clock to 2 o'clock range) to find your sweet spot for that deeper pulsating speaker sound. I also changed out the LED for a purple one, just to keep things matched. Great find for a more rare version of this effect.
