I am the original owner. Absolutely MINT condition, played a few times to make sure all was up to spec, and then allowed to age intentionally 40 years. The reason... I had learned to play on a Martin 00-18 which took quite a beating in the process, so decided that I would invest in a special Martin and keep it "perfect".
Custom 15" Martins were made by special order from 1980 to 1995. They are a replica of the original vintage Herringbone D-28 with diamond & squares fingerboard inlays. Eventually, the demand was great enough that Martin produced a similar model as the HD-28VR from 1996 until 2018 after which it was discontinued.
Additionally, I retained the original black bridge pins (included), while I replaced them with pearl inlaid ones. So you will have 2 sets of bridge pins from which to choose to your taste.
So here's an opportunity to own a "new" aged vintage Martin as if you had transported it from the past.
The serial number for you to check: 461022 (see pic).
SPECIAL OFFER: I'm including an unused tooled leather Martin guitar strap (pictured) for the buyer that meets my original asking price. They do not make them anymore, but used ones sell for about $175! A great guitar deserves a great strap! They belong together.
