Our take on the circuit made famous by King Crimson's Robert Fripp (editors note: I don't care for progressive rock but David Wiegel's book The Show That Never Ends: The Rise and Fall of Prog Rock is an absolute gem)
The circuit is a bit of an oddball - the balance control has an effect on the bias, so it's like a "volume and then some" dial.
