The Altar mkIII is a high-gain fuzz designed for doom and sludge tones. It features a three-band active EQ with ±18dB boost/cut per band, a separate boost control that can push output up to +36dB, and a grind knob for additional texture. An internal doom switch alters the circuit for even more aggressive low-end response.
Power is supplied at 9V center-negative, but the pedal runs internally at 36V for increased headroom. The SmartRelay footswitch provides true bypass operation. The pedal is built in Germany.
