The BL-44 is a real-time reverse delay that constantly reads backwards what you put into it forwards. Clock control changes delay time from fast and clean to slow and degraded, introducing noise as it reaches the bottom. Speed sets playback ratio for pitch shift effects, with unison at noon and stepped intervals roughly at octave down, fifth down, fourth down, fourth up, fifth up, and octave up. Mix blends from 100% dry to 100% wet, and Volume sets overall output level. Soft-touch bypass footswitch provides true bypass switching.

Clock and Speed interact to create pitch and texture shifts while the reverse buffer continuously processes incoming audio. The pedal runs on standard 9V center-negative power and draws 110mA.
