Offering a vintage 1950's Shure 55S Dynamic Microphone. The 55S, "S" meaning small, was Shure's follow-up to the larger "Fatboy" 55 model, and has been a staple in both broadcast and recording studio environments. All of the internals on this one are in great working order, and perform with good output level and fidelity. (Check out the voice sample in the listing video.) The 55S is very desirable for live stage speech and music performances, especially in "throwback" settings. It's always prized for its iconic look and reliable sound, with a distinctive visual style that always adds presents wherever it is used.

This one is still in presentable shape, very little signs of age/use, with just one mildly warped rib on the front bottom left...see photos. Mic has original screen cloth and has been thoroughly sanitized. The on-off switch functions as it should, and the pivot joint holds the tilt angle firmly in place. This sale includes both a short cable adapter to male XLR plug, plus the basic display disk stand.
