I bought this several years ago wanting to try new and different sounds. I didn't take to it. It's a beautiful sound just not the one I tend to gravitate to when looking for a crash cymbal. I think i played on it for a total of 1 hour. A Meinl 20" Byzance Medium Crash. It has a smooth, warm sound. Opens up fairly quick. It sustains well and decays into a soft rumble depending on how it's used. I wouldn't classify this as a "rock" or "metal" type cymbal sound. It hovers just outside the bright/brilliant realm of cymbal sounds. No keyhole, Light use, No dents, no flea bites. Light finger printing.
