Double Bass French Bow - Just Had Full And Complete Re-commission - Circa 1900

This beautiful old bow has just had a complete re-comission New head face, new wire and grip and most importantly new hair.
This bow is full of character with a lovely head shape and warm sound. The camber balances the weight and is an easy bow under hand.
I believe this bow to be around the turn of the century. I think it is most likely German but there are a couple of features like this choice of a thicker stick and the head shape that it could be an old English bow. Either way it is a bow that has some history and is in fantastic condition.
Unfortunately as it is not stamped it is not possible to confirm so you need to make up your mind on that one, either way the person who made it obviously took care which ever workshop they were working in.
The bow is Brazilwood, to my knowledge nickel mounted however I have been unable to confirm if it is silver mounted as there is a slight chance it may be but I sell it as nickel to avoid misleading anyone, I unfortunately have no way to test it.
