ESP Original Horizon-II NT 2012 Custom Color
Up for sale is an ESP Horizon-II NT, custom-color ordered at the ESP shop in Tokyo, Japan, back in 2012.
*Please note: The shipping out will be in November. Thank you for your understanding.
[Overall Description]
• Functional Condition: The guitar was professionally maintained at the ESP direct store in Tokyo in 2025. The input jack and the earth wire for the pickups were replaced with new ones. The frets show some wear, but the guitar is still very playable, so I haven’t replaced them.
• Cosmetic Condition: There are scratches, especially on the back plates, and small finish chips especially on the top of the head.
[Modifications] I am the first owner of this guitar and I changed the pickups in 2025. The originals were Seymour Duncans, but now it has a HH pair of Doug Aldrich pickups by Suhr (purchased brand new). The repairman at the ESP shop changed them. For me, I hear better string separation and longer sustain, especially in the high frequency range.

[Additional Background]
I purchased this guitar when I was living close to Tokyo and it was my main guitar for more than ten years, so I have actually played it. I had only a few electrical issues with this guitar in the past and I trusted this guitar.
The custom color was inspired by the special finish of the Doug Aldrich model by Jackson. After the order, I had a call from a craftsman at the ESP factory, which was in Niigata, Japan back then, and he asked if it was OK to paint black as a first layer and then paint other colors, and I said yes. That was a memorable conversation showing how carefully they make their products.
