Ludwig Vintage 1965 Downbeat 14 x 20 silver sparkle bass drum shell very nice!

Vintage Ludwig Downbeat series 14 deep x 20 inch round bass drum shell.

Keystone badge serial numbers 185570 internal date stamp inside the shell August 7 1965.

Finished an original silver sparkle.

All of the drums original hardware has been removed. The original keystone badge and grommet are in place and an excellent condition.

No added holes in the shell all holes present are factory original. This is an 8 lug drum with additional holes for leg mounts, Tom mounting hardware and cymbal tilter mount.

The original silver sparkle wrap is in very good condition no checking no breaks in the wrap. Tight seems no lifting or bubbling. The silver sparkle finish shows some hazing from the original color which you can see where hardware items have been removed. There is some mild yellowing on the underside of the drum which does not show when the drum is in correct playing position. The drum exterior finish still retains a very nice gloss sheen.

The shell interior is factory Ludwig white and an excellent condition. Shell bearing edges and reinforcement rings are also in excellent condition. The shell is in round and the original heads that came from the drum fit without issue.

Excellent candidate for completion to a functioning Downbeat 1960s bass drum.
