A 1968 Hofner 500/1 Bass aka "Beatle Bass." This thing has seen many stages in its life but has spent most of the last 30 years in a private collection and out of any harsh conditions. Finish is weathered and beautiful. Everything is original except the bridge which was replaced after one of the "seats" was lost. The original bridge is included and could easily be repaired using a piece from the new bridge. Instrument was dated using codes found on the pots which indicate a production year of 1968 during the 20th week.
