Moog Little Phatty Stage II analogue synthesiser – extremely low use, studio owned

Purchased new in 2011 as an additional instrument for my recording studio. As I'm not really a keyboard player, it has had hardly any use – probably played on no more than a dozen occasions since new.

It has never been gigged and has spent most of its life stored in its original Moog Little Phatty gig bag. In total I would estimate that it has spent less than a year out on a keyboard stand.

This is the Stage II model, serial number 07893, and it comes with the original Moog Little Phatty gig bag, original owner's manual and UK mains lead.

The synth has recently been fully tested and works perfectly. All keys, controls, pitch and modulation wheels, audio output and MIDI/USB functions operate correctly.

It has never been modified or repaired and has always been used and stored in a smoke-free studio.

The Little Phatty Stage II is a 37-key monophonic analogue synthesiser with two oscillators, Moog's classic ladder filter, preset storage, MIDI, USB-MIDI and arpeggiator. It is particularly well suited to basses, leads and classic Moog analogue sounds.

Condition

It's in excellent condition. The soft-touch coating used on the side panels and pitch/modulation wheels on Little Phattys of this period is well known for becoming tacky with age. This had begun to happen on mine, so the deteriorated coating has been carefully removed using isopropyl alcohol. The side panels and wheels are now clean and non-sticky.

Approximately a dozen of the white keys towards the right-hand side of the keyboard have developed some slight age-related yellowing. This is cosmetic only and does not affect the operation, feel or response of the keyboard. It can be removed if required but it has never bothered me so I have left the keys untouched.

Otherwise, the instrument presents extremely well and has had exceptionally little actual use.
