The replica currently produced by the Gibson Custom Shop is the most accurate ever made and is enhanced by the impressive Murphy Lab Ultra Light finish, which gives it an authentically vintage look and feel.
On a technical level, it features a long tenon neck joint, a one-piece body, animal glues, and an aniline finish. The neck is a '63 Medium-C profile, substantial yet absolutely comfortable and fast.
Specifically, this Gibson Custom Murphy Lab 1963 SG Junior Reissue Lightning Bar M2M Ultra Light Aged - PWS faithfully reproduces the SG Junior from 1963, but it has been crafted through the Made 2 Measure program, which allows for the creation of instruments with unique characteristics, as is the case here.
Notably, it features a beautiful and rare Antique Pelham Blue finish, replicating the historically oxidized Pelham Blue color over the years.
