Minus about 50% of shipping cost without the hard case.Shipping the hard case makes the necessary box BIGGER and cost a LOT more to ship.I can remove the neck from the bass and package in a 40"x18"x8" (92" length + girth)box compared to51"x20"x9" (109" length + girth)box to hold the hard case. Shipping cost is WAY less in the smaller box. Let me know if you want to save $50 and leave the hard case, and pay a lot less for the shipped bass.
