Vintage Moog Prodigy 336BX – Export Version – Serviced

For sale is a vintage Moog Prodigy 336BX, a classic monophonic analog synthesizer. The 336BX designation corresponds to the export version of the Prodigy.

The instrument has undergone substantial repair and servicing, with approximately $1,000 USD invested in professional service and repairs to bring it to its present condition.

This particular example features a very unusual rear identification plate marked “E.M.I. Inc., U.S.A.”, “Monophonic Synthesiser” and “Model 336 BX.” The exact historical origin of this E.M.I. identification plate has not yet been confirmed. For this reason, I am describing the markings exactly as they appear on the instrument without making any unsupported claims regarding its provenance. Detailed photographs of the plate are included in the listing.

The synthesizer has also been opened and extensively photographed. Its internal construction and electronics appear consistent with an early Moog Prodigy. Detailed photographs of the circuit boards, wiring, keyboard assembly and power supply are included, allowing collectors and knowledgeable buyers to examine the instrument for themselves.

The Prodigy features the classic analog architecture for which this model is known, including two oscillators, Moog low-pass filter, envelope generator, modulation section and 32-key keyboard.

Condition: Used – Very Good.

Please keep in mind that this is a vintage instrument more than 40 years old and therefore shows normal cosmetic signs of age and use. Please examine all photographs carefully, as they form an important part of the description.

Due to the age and collectible nature of the instrument, it will be carefully and securely packed for shipping.

Additional detailed photographs or information about the instrument are available upon request.
