Selling an AKG C12 VR tube condenser microphone in excellent cosmetic and functional condition.
This is the modern vintage reissue of the original 1950s C12, handcrafted in Vienna, Austria. It features an edge-terminated CK12 capsule, a 6072A dual-triode vacuum tube, and a custom Haufe output transformer. The system provides 9 remote-selectable polar patterns via the dedicated power supply, along with a two-position bass cut filter and a -10dB/-20dB pad.
History and Provenance:
Single owner since 2008. Serial number is 1836. Kept exclusively in a climate-controlled studio environment.
Condition and Functionality:
The microphone is fully functional with no technical issues. Capsule, tube, and power supply perform to factory specifications with normal low-noise operation.
