Sonic farm Creamer / 2 channel mic preamp

Sonic Farm Creamer Standard (of the two units pictured, it's the one on the bottom). Two channel, one rack space unit preamp.

These preamps are ridiculously good IMO. They utilize an innovative design without negative feedback that allows the signal to retain all the harmonics AND all the high end (usually you have to pick one or the other).

It can run in triode or pentode mode, with or without a transformer. This unit has the steel transformers. IMO this preamp is on par with Fearn. I've never owned a Fearn but I have used one before and I think the Creamer is every bit as good. Similarly 3-D, full range, euphonic, and BIG sounding.

Plus, it has three different settings for input impedance, the highest one being 10k. Input impedance that high absolutely transforms the sound of ribbon microphones. Turns a dull sounding ribbon into a more full range, silky smooth mic.

So why am I selling it, then? I only record myself at home. Everything I record except drums is one track/channel at a time. And what I have learned about using the Creamers for drums is that they kind of sound TOO big to put on every drum. I only use 5 mics to capture drums anyway and I embrace bleed. It's too much to have 4 channels of Creamer and the EC3 you see in the picture above on the drums the way I record them. At least for me and my meager engineering skills it is.

So I'm keeping the other Sonic Farm unit you see in the picture for the single-pass, one track at a time tracks (vocals, bass, and guitar—it sounds so good on bass it's crazy) and the distance drum mics, and using the proceeds of this sale to get a couple of SS 1073 style preamps to replace it. Something that is punchier and more focused, albeit smaller sounding.

I will entertain REASONABLE offers, but low ball offers will be ignored and will have to time out. I'm not willing to take much less for this unit than the current asking price.
