Two Amphion One15 Passive Speakers
Believe the hype! I purchased these to replace my old Yamaha NS10s, and they worked great for that. They do give you a realistic and detailed evaluation of your audio recording, mixing and mastering projects
I've been playing, recording, mixing and mastering for decades now, working with rock, jazz, classical and ethnic. The Amphion One15 pair work well for any of that, especially in a fairly small space. Pretty amazing actually.
I'm not using an uber expensive power amp with them either. I've had good luck with mid-quality receivers, inexpensive 30 amps a side power amps, and an old (but nice sounding) NAD power amp. In all cases I could hear a subtle difference, but not enough to prevent producing a mix quite nicely.
In rare cases I also added in a KRK subwoofer which worked extremely well when needing to hear the lowest octave or two, but usually only needed to use the One15s by themselves.
These have low hours, and are in excellent playing shape. Only selling them to get a larger and louder pair of speakers for a new, larger studio space!
