Martin 000-28 Standard Auditorium Acoustic Guitar

The Martin 000-28 Standard combines classic Martin tone with modern refinements for improved playability and comfort. Its 000 Auditorium body produces a balanced, articulate voice with excellent projection and sustain. It is especially well suited for fingerstyle playing, light strumming, recording, and live performance.

The guitar features a solid Sitka spruce top with solid East Indian rosewood back and sides. This classic combination delivers a rich and complex sound with clear highs, focused lows, and plenty of warmth. The scalloped X-bracing helps the top respond quickly while adding sustain and resonance.

Martin has also added several Golden Era-inspired updates. The Sitka spruce Golden Era top bracing gives the guitar a more vintage-inspired, open and breathy character. The GE Modified Low Oval neck profile provides a comfortable feel while retaining a traditional Martin-style profile.

The ebony fingerboard features a thinner profile with a gently beveled comfort edge. The refined nut string spacing and GE Modern Belly bridge further improve the playing experience.

For precise fretwork, the 000-28 features Plek'd frets. This computer-guided process creates an exceptionally even fret surface for smooth playability and consistent action across the neck.

Classic Style 28 appointments, including herringbone trim and tasteful abalone inlays, complete the look. The result is a guitar with a timeless Martin appearance, vintage-inspired tone, and modern playing comfort.
