2011 Gretsch G6120 Chet Atkins Hollow Body — Black/Gold Hardware — Made in Japan (Terada)
From Tom Murphy Collection — Very Good Condition
This is a 2011 Gretsch G6120 Chet Atkins Hollow Body finished in black with gold-plated hardware, made in Japan at the respected Terada factory (serial # JT11124819).
This particular guitar carries genuine collector interest: it was previously owned by Tom Murphy, renowned for his custom relic/aging work with the Gibson Custom Shop (“Murphy Aged” guitars). This guitar itself is not aged/relic’d. Tom traded it, along with several other instruments, to Carter Vintage Guitars in Nashville, and I purchased it directly from Carter’s. I retained the original Carter Vintage sales receipt, which documents its origin from the Tom Murphy collection (the receipt itself doesn’t list a build year — that’s confirmed via the serial number), as well as a leather key tag from that collection.
Played only at home in a non-smoking household. Condition is very good — some light fret wear and normal play wear, no finish checking, and no functional issues of any kind. Comes complete with the original Gretsch hardshell case.
Price: $2550
