Gibson Custom Shop Special Order J-45 Standard Koa Back + Sides, 2011, EXCELLENT Condition w/ OHSC
This is an EXTREMELY rare 2011 Gibson J-45 Custom Shop with Koa back and sides in Honeyburst. This guitar is in excellent condition and the only noticeable flaw is the pictured pick wear on the lower part of the sound hole. Otherwise, this is virtually flawless and in outstanding condition for a 2011. Included is the original hard shell collectible case with burgundy/wineplish interior, which includes the original warranty card and Gibson Custom Shop spec sheet indicating its birthday as 12/11/2011. Please note that Gibson does NOT provide COAs for custom shop acoustics such as these that are made in their Bozeman shop, per Gibson forums. Accordingly, this includes ALL the original paperwork, as indicated above. It has a working pickup inside but I've only used it once, mostly because the J-45 has a legendary bold, bell-like tone that makes plugging it in unnecessary unless you're playing in front of a loud and noisy audience. This guitar also holds tuning phenomenally well.
I absolutely love this guitar, but play my other Gibson electrics 95% of the time so I just can't justify keeping this beauty -- it needs to be played by someone that's going to show it the love it deserves. Email me with any questions or if you want a specific picture.
