I bought this ARP 2600 in Chicago from Jim O'Rourke in 2004 and have loved it for nearly 20 years. Now it is time for someone else to become the steward of this grand old American synthesizer.
It has been used on Wilco recordings, notably the bassline in the coda of "The Art Of Almost" from 2011's "The Whole Love" LP.
In 2009, Phil Cirocco of CMS refurbished it, installing a new power supply, adding an additional Oscillator and Filter in place of the original speakers, and making a slew of other small mods and improvements.
The 3604 P keyboard was not refurbished and is currently non-functional.
The tolex on the 2600 lid is a bit shredded, as seen in the photos. Loop Velcro is adhered to the top of the case.
The spring reverb is currently not working.
