Gorgeous compressor! This is without a doubt the most "transparent", lovely compressor I've ever used. Using a custom opto-resistive attenuator for the compression & a 12AU7 vacuum tube for the gain, the sound of this thing is just phenomenal. The noise floor is almost non-existent & there are no over-the-top compression artifacts. It just sounds smooth and silky at all settings. It gets very compressed with the sustain knob full up, but it never has that "I'm using a compressor pedal" sound. Just very pleasing and stays out of the way. Great tone control & plenty of output, even when compressing heavily.
One note: it requires a 12 volt, center positive power supply. It won’t work with a center negative supply. I used a Cioks dc7 with the center positive cable.
I bought this new from Hagerman & it hasn't left my smoke-free home since. It is in pristine condition & includes all original packaging. I ship within 1-2 days via USPS Priority.
