This is a special program offered by PRS that allows select guitar shops and dealers to order guitars customized to their own specifications. You can choose special options not found in the standard lineup, such as wood, finishes, and pickups. This results in the production of a limited number of unique PRS guitars, each built with individual specifications and special woods.

Named after Ted McCarty, who made a great contribution to the musical instrument industry, the McCarty model?a collaboration between Paul and Ted?blends PRS technology and design with the essence of legendary instruments from the golden age of the electric guitar.

The 22-fret neck, featuring binding, is moderately thick to enhance tone and sustain. It is paired with a two-piece bridge featuring a brass saddle and steel studs,a bone nut, and PRS Phase III tuners with brass shafts?all core specifications of the McCarty 594. In addition, this model now features the newly introduced McCarty III, inspired by vintage guitars to produce a warm, rich vintage tone. Furthermore, the combination of a push/pull tone knob for coil tapping and a 3-way toggle switch enables a wide range of sound-shaping possibilities.
