Mark Schulman is one of the most accomplished touring and recording drummers in contemporary rock and pop music. Over a career spanning more than three decades, he has toured, recorded and performed with an extraordinary roster of artists including P!NK, Cher, Billy Idol, Foreigner, Stevie Nicks, Sheryl Crow, Simple Minds, Velvet Revolver, Beyoncé/Destiny’s Child, Richard Marx and many others. Schulman spent 15 years working with P!NK, completing four world tours, and has also been a longtime Gretsch artist, endorsing Gretsch drums since 2002. Known for his powerful playing, commanding stage presence and versatility, Schulman has performed on some of the world's largest concert stages and television productions and was voted among the Top 3 Pop-Rock Drummers in the 2014 Modern Drummer Readers Poll. A very cool early Pork Pie Percussion 10" popcorn snare from the personal collection of renowned drummer Mark Schulman, known for his extensive work with P!NK, Cher, Billy Idol, Foreigner, Stevie Nicks and numerous other major artists.
This drum can be dated precisely to September 9, 1999: Pork Pie founder Bill Detamore's signature and inscription "#0343, W.P. Detamore, 9-9-99" remain clearly hand marked on the inside of the shell. This dates the drum to Pork Pie's very early production years. Pork Pie founder Bill Detamore started building drums in Southern California in 1987.
The drum remains in excellent condition. It shows some normal wear consistent with its age but remains in 100% working and functional condition. No issues.
This drum comes directly from the Mark Schulman Collection and was personally owned and played by Mark. Comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by Mark and Donn!
