The Collings 290 is a premium solid-body electric guitar built for players who demand authentic vintage character and modern playability. Handcrafted from Honduran mahogany with an extra-long mortise-and-tenon neck joint, this instrument delivers sustain, resonance, and durability that improves with time.
Equipped with Lollar P90 pickups paired to CTS 500K potentiometers and Jupiter Vintage Yellow capacitors, the 290 produces warm, articulate tones across genres—from bluesy crunch to jangly cleans. The 50s-style wiring keeps interactions organic and responsive.
A 12" fingerboard radius and medium nickel-silver frets provide comfortable access to the full range, while the haircut peghead profile and Gotoh tuners ensure reliable intonation and vintage aesthetics. High-gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish protects the wood and ages beautifully.
Comes with a deluxe hardshell case. The 290 is as much about craftsmanship and heritage as it is about tone—a modern classic that honors guitar-making tradition.
