Die Faded-Modelle der ersten Baujahre genießen absoluten Kultstatus unter Spielern und Sammlern. Da sie im Gegensatz zu späteren Jahrgängen (ab 2007) noch nicht komplett ausgehöhlt („chambered“), sondern traditionell mit den klassischen 9 Entlastungsbohrungen („9-hole weight relief“) gefertigt wurden, bieten sie den echten, fetten Les-Paul-Druck und hervorragendes Sustain. Das hauchdünne, satinierte Nitro-Finish ohne dicke Porenfüller lässt das Holz frei atmen und extrem dynamisch schwingen. Das Quilted Maple der Decke ist sehr schön gemasert.

Die Gitarre befindet sich in einem technisch absolut tadellosen Originalzustand ohne jegliche Modifikationen. Die Elektronik läuft perfekt und absolut kratzfrei, während die ab Werk verbauten, offenen Gibson Burstbucker Pro Humbucker (mit den markanten Zebra-Spulen) den unverkennbaren, druckvollen PAF-Klang liefern. Optisch präsentiert sich das Instrument in einem ehrlichen, wunderschönen „Player“-Zustand mit einer natürlichen Patina. Das extrem empfindliche Faded-Satin-Finish hat über die letzten zwei Jahrzehnte einige oberflächliche Kratzer sowie die typischen, kleineren Dings und Dongs abbekommen, die bei dieser Serie einfach dazugehören und ihr einen authentischen Vintage-Charakter verleihen. Die Substanz ist perfekt: Es gibt keinerlei Brüche, Risse oder Holzreparaturen, und die Bünde weisen noch reichlich Fleisch auf.

Up for sale is a highly sought-after, beautifully resonated 2005 Gibson Les Paul Standard Faded featuring the desirable 50s neck profile.Being from 2005, this instrument is from the coveted first year of production for the legendary Faded series. Unlike later production runs (from 2007 onwards) which were fully chambered, the 2005 models feature the traditional 9-hole weight relief body construction. This gives the guitar that authentic, heavy Les Paul punch, tight low-end, and incredible organic sustain. The ultra-thin, hand-rubbed satin nitrocellulose finish allows the premium mahogany and maple woods to breathe and vibrate freely—resulting in an acoustically loud and highly dynamic tone that rivals many Custom Shop instruments. The quilted maple top looks fantastic!

Technically, the guitar is in 100% flawless original condition with absolutely no modifications or hidden stories. All electronics work perfectly with clean, scratch-free pots. The factory-installed open-coil Gibson Burstbucker Pro humbuckers (with their iconic zebra bobbins and Alnico V magnets) deliver a powerful, clear, and punchy PAF-style tone.

Cosmetically, it is an honest player's guitar with a gorgeous, authentic natural vintage patina. Due to the highly sensitive and thin nature of Gibson's faded satin finish, the body shows some light surface scratches and minor dings & dongs from over 20 years of dedicated playing time (please see the detailed photos). Crucially, there are absolutely no headstock breaks, no cracks, and no structural repairs. The frets have plenty of life left, the neck is straight, and the truss rod adjusts perfectly.
