Clarinet history for sale. Pre R-13 Bb & A set paired with very rare Otto Link ‘Eburnated’ Reso Chamber mouthpiece with four digit serial. Clarinet serial numbers 513S1 (Bb) and 530S1 (A). These serial numbers have been hard to pin down. Estimated date of manufacturing 1900-1910. Interior case vendor badge still intact for Baxter & Northrop, Los Angeles. This store continues to operate and was founded in 1906. All parts bear the Buffet logo and ‘Made In France’. Keys appear to be German silver. All keys moving freely, no missing parts noted. Brown leather pads throughout on both instruments. The original double case has a wonderful wear patina, and still latches. No key. Missing the leather handle and one side of the case exterior has the wood exposed. Also included is a vintage Vandoren 2RV mouthpiece.

Bb upper joint shows signs of pinning repair, and Bb bell has some severe chipping underneath the bell ring. While no severe cracks are noted (please request more photos if you have areas of concern) please expect these horns to exhibit any and all aspects of needing complete restoration, including wear and tear, rust and corrosion, surface cracks/ blemishes, chipping, etc. Wood is dehydrated. These instruments need a complete overhaul to function as intended. Pricing reflects condition, hoping these go to an appreciative home. Feel free to make an offer.
