WOW

Up For sale is this exceedingly rare 1981 Yamaha SG-800S in an Original Rare Custom Silver Finish!

This finish was only made available to the Japanese Domestic Market. Which means that the only way someone could get one of these stateside was to fly to Japan, OR have an inside man that could purchase it overseas for you and then ship it. Luckily, the original owner was stationed in Japan for a short while and managed to pick this up when it was released!

The body is in great shape for its age and shows some minor cosmetic wear in the binding. A few finish flakes and chips here and there are pictured above! These do not impact the functionality of the guitar and are purely cosmetic! Aside from that, there are a few fine scratches, light impressions, and minor dings that you will normally find on a 45 year old instrument!

All electronics have been tested and deemed fully functional! This model also comes with the highly regarded ‘Push - Push’ coil splitting that really elevates this piece! All components are original!

The neck is in good shape as well! Frets were polished during our in house setup, and the board was conditioned and cleaned to reveal a gorgeous fretboard! The playability is extremely comfortable and action is low and fast with minimal buzzing. Frets have signs of minor wear and are original to the guitar!

Truss rod is functional in both directions!

Comes with Gig Bag!
