About this listing
24" Vintage 50s/60s no dot small stamp Avedis Zildjian Ride Cymbal with sizzle holes. I don't know if the sizzle holes are factory (likely not factory, as they aren't evenly spaced.. but these do look quite nice) but there are no rivets present currently. It weighs about 3550 grams and that weight is approximate. The center hole is slightly out of round. No cracks there or anywhere else. There's some "squiggly" dents along the edge (I will use this term to describe tiny waves that look more like manufacturing/hammering stuff, but no way to know for sure.. as some of them are more notable and less "squiggly".. just look at the closeups and decide for yourself). There's also some nicks.. but for an old 24 incher.. not so bad (see pics for those too). There's patina and scratches and stickmarks and discoloration. MY OPINION ON SOUND: Well, this particular cymbal seems to be made of a creamier, whiter, airier alloy than some of its brothers and cousins (granted, they're all probably B20, but.. clearly not all B20 is the same).. similar to the whiter alloys used on modern Agop/Mehmet Traditionals, Bosphorus Traditionals, and those Paiste T20 protos I love so much.. The tap is quite washy and jazzy (tah tah) with a little chime (ting ting). The crash is smooth and big and low-pitched. Somewhere between Trans and Block Stamp sound.. like a softer block stamp. Highly recommended.
