For sale is a Special 57 which was a collaboration during 1980s with Shure and Randall May which utilized the capsules from the infamous SM57 alongside custom housing/mounts for use within drum kits! These microphones were sold by Randall May International, although Shure supplied them the SM57 capsules to make this microphone a reality. The difference with the SM57 is Randy May incorporated a custom housing for the lower portion and shockmounting that would work perfectly for mounting the microphones internally.
Functionally, this microphone is perfect with a full sound signature that you know and love with vintage Shure mics.
