This Les Paul begins with a mahogany body mated to a stunning koa top that beams with fanciful figuring. A comfortable heel carve provides full access to the SlimTaper mahogany neck’s 10–16-inch-radius ebony fingerboard, which comes adorned with gorgeous mother-of-pearl Super Split Block inlays. As for the tone, it sports a pair of Alnico IV-equipped Sugarbuckers — modernized PAF-style humbuckers that were designed from the ground up by Sweetwater’s guitar experts and Gibson’s Pickup Product Manager Jared Brandon. You get flexible push-pull controls to access versatile Pure Bypass, out-of-phase, and coil-tapped tones. It’s all topped off with an elegant arrangement of gold-tinged hardware, including Grover Keystone locking tuners and a sustain-enhancing Nashville Tune-o-matic bridge. Supreme in sound, looks, and performance, the Gibson Les Paul Supreme Koa is a true modern classic.
