This one has a rich, earthy character with plenty of warmth and complexity. The stick sound is defined without being overly bright or cutting, sitting nicely on top of a deep, dark wash. It has that slightly smoky, old-world Turkish character—lots of subtle overtones and texture that reveal themselves as you play it.
At 2267g, it has enough weight and body to give you a solid, articulate ride sound while still opening up when played harder. The bell has a clear, musical voice without being overly aggressive.
