1990 B.C. Rich Mockingbird Bass MB-857S Vintage PJ Bass Pink, Japan

Up for sale, a 1990 B.C. Rich Mockingbird Bass model MB-857 in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. Produced as part of the NJ (Nagoya, Japan) Series, this B.C. Rich features a PJ pickup pair, a “super wood” laminate neck and an "ebonic" synthetic ebony fingerboard.

Weighing 9lbs 3oz, this Mockingbird dishes out plenty of natural treble cut and punch, qualities faithfully captured by the PJ pickup configuration. The split-coil Precision-style neck pickup has ample thump and power, and the Jazz-style bridge position single coil has midrange cut and grind. This Mockingbird MB-857 benefits from a professional setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 45-100 roundwound strings, fast action, and accurate intonation.

The gloss Pink finish is particularly bold and unfaded (unusual for this finish and era), with wear limited to a few finish chips along the body perimeter (particularly at the treble-side horn tip), an area of shallow wear from wrist jewelry on the upper horn, and some scattered dings along the back. The satin finish on the neck profile is flawless.

A padded gigbag is included.
