I’m offering a 1991 Orville by Gibson ES-175, made in Japan.
Serial number: G106600
A very attractive Japanese-made ES-175 with original electronics and original Gibson humbuckers marked “PAT. NO. 2,737,842”.
The guitar has the classic full-depth hollowbody construction, sunburst finish, bound body and neck, split-parallelogram style fingerboard inlays and the traditional trapeze tailpiece.
Electronics
The guitar retains its original electronics and is equipped with original Gibson humbuckers:
- Gibson PAT NO humbucker – neck
- Gibson PAT NO humbucker – bridge
- Patent marking: PAT. NO. 2,737,842

- 3-way pickup selector
Condition
The guitar is in very good condition for its age and has a great vintage appearance.
It has just undergone a professional fret level, so the frets are freshly dressed and the guitar is fully set up, comfortable to play and ready to use.
There is one modification worth mentioning: the output jack was relocated. The original jack area had previously been damaged, so the original opening was closed and the jack was installed in a new position on the side of the body. This is the only notable modification/flaw.
The removable pickguard is also included.
