Here’s a killer 2017 Fender Custom Shop ’52 Telecaster Heavy Relic, a less commonly seen Custom Shop model with all the look, feel, and unmistakable character of a well-played early-’50s Tele.

This one features a resonant ash body with Fender Custom Shop’s Heavy Relic treatment, giving it the appearance and broken-in feel of a vintage instrument that has spent decades on the road. The aging looks fantastic and gives the guitar plenty of personality without having to worry about putting the first mark on it.

Loaded with a set of Fender Custom Shop ’51 Nocaster pickups, it delivers everything you want from a great Telecaster—big, clear lows, plenty of snap and bite, and that classic woody midrange that works equally well for country, blues, rock, and everything in between.

The guitar is in very good condition with little to no fret wear and plays beautifully. Any visible finish wear is largely part of the factory Heavy Relic treatment.
