The BW 1969 is Butch Walker's signature amp and its whole idea is two independent power sections in one chassis. A cathode-biased pair of EL84s makes 16 watts on its own, a fixed-bias pair of 6L6s makes 39 on its own, and run together they make 55. They are not a channel switch. You choose which power section is doing the work, and the two sound like different amps: the EL84 side quick and harmonically busy, the 6L6 side firmer underneath with more control. Together you keep the EL84 detail and gain the low end.

The front end is a six-position input gain selector rather than a gain knob, so each position reshapes how the amp responds instead of just adding more. Treble has a push-pull bright switch. The effects loop is fully tube-buffered with defeat and bright options.

The cab is Divided by 13's 2x12F, loaded with their 454 speaker, a UK-made 40-watt Celestion Greenback.
