2008 Fender American Standard Stratocaster in a Black finish. This is an early 2008 model (though the back of the headstock features a "Z7" serial number) that was part of the re-introduced "American Standard" series; which was briefly retired in 2000 and replaced with the "American Series" up until 2007. This guitar features an Alder body in a classic Black polyurethane finish with a 3-ply pickguard equipped with it's original American Standard single coil pickups. The pickups are wired to a familiar control scheme of master volume, neck tone knob, and a tone knob for the middle and bridge pickup. This guitar has a two point tremolo system with 6 bent steel saddles. The neck is constructed of maple with a skunk stripe on the back. The neck is shaped to a modern C shape. The fingerboard is also constructed of maple with a 9.5" radius fingerboard and 22 frets. The headstock features a synthetic bone nut and deluxe die-cast tuners. The neck plate features an access point to tweak the micro-tilt adjustment in order to change the neck's pitch. This guitar is in excellent playing condition but has several examples of dings and scratches, especially on the body. There is a small jam on the fingerboard between the 15th and 16th fret, however, this defect doesn't affect playability nor can it be felt while playing. The frets have been cleaned & polished, the truss rod has been properly adjusted, the tremolo bridge has been properly set (floating just under 1/8" above the body), spring tension has been set, string height has been set accordingly, this guitar is ready to be played!
