Fender Mustang Special Pawn Shop MIJ – Lake Placid Blue – 2011

I am selling my Fender Mustang Special Pawn Shop, made in Japan in 2011, finished in Lake Placid Blue, serial number T010405.

A rare model produced for a limited period, it combines the compact body and short scale of the Mustang with an especially versatile configuration:

• Alder body, maple neck with a ’60s-style C profile
• Rosewood fingerboard, 9.5-inch radius
• Short 24-inch / 610 mm scale length
• 22 Medium Jumbo frets
• Two Fender Enforcer humbuckers with ’70s-style covers
• Three-way master pickup selector
• Two additional switches allowing each pickup to be used as a humbucker or with either of its two individual coils
• Master volume and tone controls
• Fixed six-saddle Stratocaster bridge with strings-through-body construction
• Vintage-style tuners and Mint Green pickguard

This electronics configuration offers a wide range of tones, from the clear and precise sounds of a single-coil pickup to the warmer, more powerful tones of the humbuckers. The short scale provides a comfortable, flexible feel and makes chords and bends easier to play.

The guitar is in excellent condition. It has just returned from a luthier after a fret levelling and a complete setup, including action, intonation and neck relief adjustments. It is ready to play, with no work required.
