Taylor 424CE Walnut SEB Special Edition

Grand Auditorium body with Venetian cutaway; walnut body.

The Taylor 424ce Walnut SEB Special Edition is an exclusive Grand Auditorium electro-acoustic guitar that excels in versatility, playing comfort, and distinctive aesthetics.

This Special Edition is crafted entirely from solid walnut, resulting in a unique tonal balance featuring warm lows, rich mids, and powerful projection. Thanks to the combination of Taylor's innovative V-Class bracing and the high-quality Expression System 2 pickup, this guitar delivers outstanding performance whether played acoustically or amplified.

Tonal Character

In terms of tonal character, walnut sits somewhere between mahogany, rosewood, and maple. The Taylor 424ce offers an excellent balance of warmth, definition, and dynamics. The guitar responds instantly to both fingerstyle playing and vigorous strumming, delivering a wide frequency range with natural clarity and superb articulation. Thanks to V-Class bracing, the player benefits from enhanced sustain, increased volume, and precise intonation across the entire neck.

Appearance

The striking Shaded Edgeburst finish accentuates the natural grain of the walnut wood, giving the guitar an elegant, luxurious look. White binding, an abalone rosette, and Renaissance fretboard inlays provide refined visual details that perfectly complement the premium nature of this Special Edition.
